LONDON: More attacks as man rams vehicle into crowd killing 1, injures 10

The city of London came under attack again after a man ploughed his
vehicle into a crowd of pedestrians in front of two mosques in the
northern part of the city killing one victim and injuring 10 others.
Reports say the 48-year-old suspect was pinned down by bystanders after the incident and later handed over to the police who arrived the scene of the incident moments later.
“Police were called just after 0020hrs [23:20 GMT] … to reports of a vehicle in collision with pedestrians,” they said in a statement, calling the incident “major”.
In her comments after the incident, British Prime Minister Theresa May said the incident was being treated by police as a “potential terrorist attack”.
“I will chair an emergency meeting later this morning… All my thoughts are with the victims, their families and the emergency services on the scene,” she said.
In the last three months, the UK has witnessed a series of attacks with the bombing of a concert in Manchester in May, a stabbing spree earlier this month in the London Bridge area and a March attack in which a man drove a car into crowds on Westminster Bridge.
